Product details:
Shimano has taken a step forward and embraced the Boa revolution. The SH-RC7 Cycling Shoes are high-performing road dogs which pack most of the features found in the pro-level RC9, but goes a bit simpler, to save you a bundle. There檚 a single Boa dial on each shoe. It is the IP1, which tightens and loosens in 1mm increments, and completely loosens when you pull it up. You can tune the tension by choosing to add a loop to the lower Boa guides or not. By employing the Boa, they檝e simplified the upper and removed pressure points. They檝e also gained more room for venting. There檚 a set-and-forget strap at the bottom to adjust the forefoot volume as well. The sole is carbon and has a Shimano stiffness rating of 10. It檚 not off-the-charts stiff, but it檚 close. The three-bolt mounting standard has fore-aft adjustment to it to further help those who like extreme cleat positions. There檚 a sturdy heel pad that you can comfortably walk on, and a toe pad that protects your shoe when stopping at lights. The upper is made of supple, perforated synthetic leather that allows your feet to breathe easy, even on the hottest days. Inside is an Adaptable Cup insole, which offers both arch support, and a fit that gets customized while you use it. The RC of the RC-7 stands for Race Carbon. The shoe weighs 245g in a size 42, which qualifies as light.
