Monitor an outdoor area for activity without letting animals trigger false alarms by installing the STI Wireless Outdoor Motion Detector Alert with Voice Receiver. This complete DIY kit comes with a wireless motion detector that senses motion up to 33 feet away, while ignoring animals up to 100 pounds (including small children). False alarms are also reduced by Dual-Frequency infrared (DFIRT) opto-electronics. When motion is detected, the included voice receiver alerts you. Because the voice receiver can produce different alerts for different sensors, this kit is perfect for homeowners who may want to add onto the system. The receiver supports up to three additional sensors (four total). You could connect a mailbox sensor (sold separately), for example, and pair it with the Mailbox voice alert, while the driveway sensor could be programmed to trigger the Driveway voice alert. The selectable words can even be programmed in sets of up to four to create a custom message (i.e. Emergency + Exit + Side + Door, or Front + Door, or Pool + Gate, etc.). The battery-powered motion detector installs outdoors either on a flat wall or in a 45-degree corner with the included screws. If the detector's tamper cover is opened after installation, a tamper signal will be sent to the receiver. Additionally, if the unit is removed from the wall, loses signal, or has low battery, the receiver produces a single beep once a minute. With its included power adapter, the receiver plugs into an indoor electrical outlet up to 1,000' away from the connected sensor(s). It can be mounted on a wall, or placed on a tabletop.
